Born in Napoli in 1974, Fabio De Caro became involved in theatre at age 16 and joins the CSPV school of diction and acting directed by Giancarlo Bianco. He landed his first major role in 1998 with Cyrano de Bergerac, which he enjoyed immensely. In 2005 he began working in television with small roles in well-known shows, the first being the Italian soap opera “Un posto al sole” in which he played several characters from 2007 to 2011. He appeared in many other Rai shows, such as “Il coraggio di Angela”, “Che Dio ci aiuti” and “Un passo dal cielo”. The various Mediaset tv series he has taken part include: “Le tre rose di Eva” and “Distretto di Polizia”. He has acted in and produced many short-movies, among which “Gli occhi di Cristo”, “Pataya è il paradiso”, “Il soffio della terra” (for which he received the award for best actor at the Cinema Alberini international film festival), “Totore” and “Non sono nessuno”. In 2011 he got the very lucky-break of working with Stefano Sollima who cast him in a small role in his movie “Acab”. The director remembered him two years later as he was casting a show that would go on to be one of the most followed series in the world: Gomorra. Fabio was chosen out of the 2000 people who auditioned for the part of Malamore, one of the show’s main characters who comes back in season 2.
