After graduating from Yale University she got her masters in journalism at Columbia University in New York.
She began working in Italian journalism at the financial newspaper Italia Oggi in 1986, then moved to Reuters and Arnold Mondadori Editore’s monthly magazines Fortune and Espansione. During this time she worked as Italian correspondent on the American specialist magazine Advertising Age.
In 1994, after working on the Milano, Italia talk show on Rai 3, she went to Panorama, the weekly magazine, and since then she has been following developments in the Internet and new media. From 1999 she has been at La Stampa, where she has launched the writing of the Turin-based paper’s web site, of which she has also been managing editor; she has also been La Stampa’s Social Media Editor since 2012.
From 2007 to 2011 she worked a lot as a blogger for the Guardian, covering Italian politics and current affairs.
In January 2014 she temporarily left her job at La Stampa and took on the role of Press Office Manager and Communication Manager of the Chamber of Deputies, voted in by a large majority by the management office of the Chamber (10 votes for, 2 against and 3 abstentions) on 22nd December 2013.
She is on the Board of Trustees of the Nexa Centre for Internet and Society at the Politecnico di Torino.
