His current life began in 1961, but not even he knows how many previous lives he has had. What’s certain is that with his sharp eyes and innate sense of curiosity he has always been ready to catch the right emotion at the right time, making him one of the best food photographers in the business in recent years. His mother, a great cook, instilled in him a passion for good food, and in the 1990’s, he ventured into the world of food and wine, studying but mostly drinking and eating his way through. His sommelier diploma brought him closer to the world of winemakers, later becoming one himself. He has never stopped taking pictures and his initial hunger in all the sense of the word eventually made him famous. He received important commissions: 2 books on bread and wine, and food and wine magazines started paying attention to him: Cook_inc, Spirito DiVino, Il Sommelier, Touring Club, Italia Squisita, Mixer, Il Gambero Rosso, La Madia, Reporter Gourmet are but some of the publications where his reportages have appeared.
He also personally manages the communication of certain gourmet restaurants, with photo shoots, websites and food and wine consultancies for certain major restaurants in Italy.
His style is unique and nonetheless in constant evolution. He is a hunter of light and emotion and passionate about telling stories through portraits of chefs and winemakers and pictures of the fruits of their labour. Humility and open mindedness are the true driving forces of his life and work.
