Maria Dodaro is studying towards a PhD in Urban and Local European Studies (URBEUR) at the University of Milano-Bicocca. She was born in Cosenza and obtained a degree in Economics and Social Studies at the University of Calabria with a thesis in social innovation and well-being. Her current research activities involve local welfare and innovation with a focus on young people and employment. She is particularly interested in economic and employment sociology, urban sociology, the evolution of welfare, governance-related matters, local development and participation.
