I have a diploma in Computer Science, a Bachelor’s in Managerial Engineering, and a doctorate in Innovative Engineering with a thesis in Human-Machine Interaction (HMI). The progression of my studies coincides with what I have been passionate about: from software and hardware development to the application of technology to allow people to be satisfied with the use of their own daily objects: cars and tractors, coffee machines, and industrial machines. This passion has found an outlet in the initiatives in which I have been a co-founder: the research group in Human-Machine Interaction at the Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia and its spin-off business, RE:Lab—today among the European leaders in the HMI sector—and a technology agency called Internet of Things, DQuid. I have patents and publications—at bottom, I still have my nerd spirit—and I continue to work with doctoral students of quality in Innovation Management at the Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia.
